What have I found on my research question?
I was recently asked "What have I found on my research paper so far?". Despite having done little research at this point, I have still found some useful information. A couple of weeks ago I looked up a couple books int the library that had something to do with my topic. I scammed through both books briefly, but I did not read the whole books.T hose two books will definitely come in hand when I start seriously researching my topic. I have a lot of info to continue researching about. There's so many resources out there on my topic that I have yet to conquer. I did have to refine my research question once. My original research question was too broad and vague. I had to specify the question in order to get the information I wanted.

It seems as if you know what direction you want to head in once you get started. There is a lot of information to be found in many different places, so when you seriously get started do not forget to check all of them out. Look at places like the library, databases and other internet sources to find the information you may need. At the same time, because there are so many locations to find information do not get distracted from your research question and the information you need.
ReplyDeleteI have done little research so far as well. I also have a lot of work ahead of me. I had to refine my research question as well, mine was to vague. Not waiting to the last minute is key for research, I think I shall start researching!
ReplyDeleteIt’s good that you have a place to start even though you have little information. It’s also a good sign that the books have lots of useful information and you haven’t even read through the entire thing. I think a lot of people, including myself, struggle with narrowing down their research question so you aren’t alone there. I’m sure if you keep doing research little by little you will get everything you need.
ReplyDeleteEven though you have done little research, I can see that you at least have a starting place. Your topic is good and I am pretty sure you can find helpful information on your topic. Try using Galileo it should help you out more. You should start getting your information together now, before it gets too overwhelming.
